At BJC Hospice, we care for patients of all ages. Both adult and pediatric hospice patients have access to much needed options for end of life care at home, in the hospital or in a senior living home. Whether adults, teens or children, our focus is on maximizing love and comfort while minimizing pain, fear and uncertainty.
BJC Hospice recognizes that pediatric hospice care is unique from adult care. Wings, the BJC pediatric palliative care and hospice program, provides resources that allow children and their families to live each day to the fullest. Evelyn’s House, our 16 bed hospice house, also serves both adult and pediatric guests and their families. It is the only hospice house in the St. Louis region dedicated to pediatrics.
When a loved one is diagnosed with an advanced disease – such as cancer, end-stage cardiac disease, end-stage renal disease or any serious illness – and he or she is ready to come home, what type of care is better- home health or hospice? BJC Hospice has combined the physical treatment of home health care with the pain and symptom management provided by our hospice program into our palliative home care program.

Symptom Management
BJC Hospice is committed to promoting your comfort and overall quality of life. Our physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses have completed highly specialized training in pain and symptom management. BJC Hospice will be working with you, your physician and our hospice clinical team in a collaborative manner to ensure that your pain and symptoms are controlled and that you are comfortable under our care.
